
Dr. & Mrs. Jimmy Nelson Jimmy was saved in 1958 and Maggie experienced the new birth in 1977. They actively served in Calvary Baptist Church of Lewisville. In 1976 Jimmy made a mission trip to Mexico with his pastor and 3 other men from the church. In 1977 the Lord called him to full time service. He and Maggie started attending Seminary classes at the Arlington Baptist College. In 1979 they moved to Monterrey, Mexico and become the first missiology students to enroll in such a program. Upon completing the program he received his Bachelor of Arts from Baptist Christian College. Since that time Jimmy has completed a Master of Theology at Patriot Baptist Seminary, a Doctor of Religious Education through the Seminario Bautista del Valle, a Doctor of Theology with Landmark Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Philosophy with Patriot University. He also has a Doctor of Theological Education and a Doctor of Missions from Faculdad de Educacao Teoligico de Amazonia. Maggie completed her Bachelor of Arts with Patriot University and received her Master and Doctorate of Religious Education and a Doctor of Philosophy from Landmark Baptist Theological Seminary. The Nelson family served as missionaries to Mexico for eleven years. They served in Monterrey Nuevo Leon, Jimenez Chihuahua, and Cd. Obregon Sonora Mexico. While in Mexico mission churches and seminaries were started. In 1990 Jimmy, Maggie and their family returned to the United States for a furlough, but through the leading of the Holy Spirit, Jimmy accepted the pastorate of Green Acres Baptist Church in Stephenville, Texas. In 1994 Jimmy and Maggie returned to mission work. Jimmy is the pastor of Landmark Baptist Church in Fort Worth. He also serves as the Director of Landmark Mission Projects, a local church ministry and President of the Landmark Baptist Theological Seminary. Maggie works in the Church and L.A.M.P. offices. They have the desire to help Missionaries and National Pastors establish indigenous, local, New Testament Baptist Churches and train Nationals for the work of the ministry. Since 1996 work trips have been made to Brazil, Cuba, Honduras, Malawi, Mexico, South Africa, and Thailand. In Brazil, several Bible Institutes and a video studio were established. Thus far in Cuba 4 Seminary Extensions have been founded, In Honduras a video studio was setup and men trained. In Malawi, we organized the Landmark Baptist Church of Nataja.
