April 26, 2004 Dear
Reader, When I went in for my Diabetes
checkup in February the doctor told me that I had blood in my urine. A CT scan was scheduled and revealed a
lesion on my left kidney. However, they
could not tell if the growth was benign or malignant, so an MRI was scheduled
for last Friday. The technician made
it very clear that he was not a doctor, but said that from all indications
the growth looked benign. Please pray
that the Lord will give the doctor and I guidance. I just received two reports from
Malawi, one from Brother Sindi in Blantyre and another from Billy in
Nsanje. Both reports are
encouraging. Brother Sindi reported
visiting churches and holding teaching seminars for the pastors, while
Brother Billy reports that the churches are reaching out and three new
churches have been established. The
names of the new churches are Chipondeniand, Chinyanje, and Molosen. In November Dr.
Houston, Jerred Yancey, and I need to make another mission trip to
Malawi. Jerred will graduate from
Landmark Baptist Theological Seminary in May. Jerred needs to make a survey trip to Malawi because he and his
wife Rosa have surrendered their lives to be missionaries to that
country. They will start deputation
shortly after graduation. Dr. Houston
and I need to spend time with Brothers Sindi and Makhusa, as well as the new
missionaries. We also want to visit
as many of the churches as possible and hold teaching seminars for the lay
pastors in the regions that we visit. A mission trip to
Malawi is quite expensive, so we want to accomplish as much as possible in
time we are there. But in order to
make the trip a reality we need your prayers, as well as financial help. Please pray for God’s provision for this
trip. May the Lord richly bless you. For His Glory, Dr. Jimmy Nelson |
