Dear Reader,

In my last prayer letter I told you that the technician said the MRI showed a growth on my left kidney but it look to be benign.  It was, but there were also two more cist on my right kidney.  Both of them are also benign, however one of them is hemorrhagic.  After viewing the MRI the doctors have decided to monitor the cist for another six months to see if they are growing.  In the mean time, I am taking medicine from Brazil that is supposed to make them go away.  We are very relived that the cist were benign and appreciate all your prays for me and my health.

There are 48 students in two of the Cuba extensions that are studying the Word of God every day.  The brethren there are very encouraging every time they write.  They tell me that the response is wonderful and the more the students learn the more they want to learn.  One of the keys of getting the Video Bible Courses into Cuba is getting them on DVD.  I have completed several courses and God has provided the material (DVD’s, storage boxes, label, etc.) to complete the Spanish courses that we have.  We hope to have the remainder of the courses transferred by the end of 2004.

Exciting things are also happening in Malawi.  Brother Makhusa found a man in Nsanje willing to sell him land to put the Seminary on.  He asks us to pray that the Lord will provide the $300.00 he needs to buy the land.  The brethren also traveled to several areas, teaching the lay pastors, and holding evangelistic services.  The Lord saved 121 people during these services in Malawi and Mozambique.  Brother Yancey has started deputation preparing to go to Malawi.  Dr. Houston, Bro. Yancey and I are praying for God’s provision for our Malawi trip in November.

In September Maggie and I will complete 25 years of service for the Master.  As I reflect back on these many years I remember some of the hardships, that by God’s grace we endured, but the good things, the souls saved, churches and seminaries started, the men trained, and the many friends we’ve made, brings tears of joy.  Our God IS a wonderful God.  Thank you again for your prayers for my health and our ministry.  Together we are building a bridge from our generation to the next, and from the church to the lost in the regions beyond.

Your missionaries,

Jimmy and Maggie Nelson
